DTS Student Application ~ DTS International Student Application
Meet the speakers! ~ Meet the staff! ~ Meet the students!
You know you want more out of your relationship with God. When do you have time to devote to getting to know His heart for you and for the world? Work, school, friends, family- all important parts of life, but together they can seem to crowd out what’s ETERNALLY important- knowing God and making Him known. DTS offers a place for you to step aside from daily life and focus – on God, on His work in you, and on His purposes for your life.
“Application” is the underlying theme of the school, and school leaders and staff are committed to walking with you throughout this journey as you pursue your destiny and find your place in the Great Commission. This is NOT about acquiring more information, it’s about walking it out… hearing from God… seeing miracles…experiencing transformation in your own life… being an agent of change by taking the Gospel into the lives of others. Throughout the 12 week lecture phase and into the overseas field assignment, you will be challenged to apply what you are learning to your life and worldview.
DTS Lecture Phase topics include: Inductive Bible Study, Hearing God’s Voice, Relationships, Biblical Worldview, Evangelism and Missions
Learning trips to other cities along with numerous local outreaches, community dinners evenings of fun and fellowship create a collage of experiences in a dynamic live-learn environment where relationships are priority and each person is highly valued.
DTS Field Assignment: 8-12 weeks in a cross-cultural setting give you the opportunity to experience missionary life in ways you’ve never imagined. You may be presenting the Gospel on the streets of an overcrowded urban slum, or walking miles on a rural island just for the opportunity to pray and present the message of Jesus… but you will definitely have the opportunity to put into practice what you’ve learned in lecture phase and pass it on to others.
Twenty (20) semester equivalent credits will be earned upon
successful completion of the Discipleship Training School including
lecture phase and field assignment.. These credits may be applied to a
University of the Nations degree program or transferred to other participating colleges.
